Reducing Injuries in Baseball

The Rod Dedeaux Research and Baseball Institute brings together leaders from the medical science community and the sports training community. Through their joint efforts, the RDRBI helps athletes achieve greater core strength, less risk of injury, and overall higher performance. Our belief is that, by teaching not only athletes but also their parents and coaches, we can set the groundwork for a lifetime of athletic success and health.

The NEW BOOK is here!

Arm Action, Arm Path, and The Perfect Pitch: Building the Million Dollar Arm has shipped!

Through the use of 3D motional capture and analysis, authors Tom House and NPA Biotechnician Doug Thorburn take a hard look at many of the myths about pitching mechanics still in use today. They scientifically prove or disprove their validity using the science of 3D motion capture and analysis. The book was premiered this week by Tom House at the Injuries in Baseball event in Houston and was completely sold out! But more are on the way! Get your copy now!

Are these "truisms" fact or fiction???

1. Get on top of the ball.
2. Pull your glove to your hip.
3. Left-hander left side of the rubber.

Foreward by World Series MVP, Cole Hamels!

 I WANT ONE!

Located adjacent to Dedeaux Field on the University of Southern California campus, the 10,000 square foot (930 sq. meter) RDRBI facility uses state-of-the-art technology to determine where an athlete is at greatest risk of injury and what can be done to reduce that risk.
